What? How? Where?
Are you a new eBay seller? eBay can help you! Always state the shipping costs in your listings. eBay has a built-in shipping calculator. All you need to enter is the TOTAL weight of the package (including the box and packing materials), your zip code, shipping service, packaging fee’s and handling fee. eBay will automatically calculate the cost of shipping based on the buyer’s location. USPS and UPS are the only shipping types currently supported by eBay’s shipping calculator

Use delivery confirmation on ALL packages. This is a requirement of PayPal’s seller protection policy.

Use USPS Media Mail for large amounts of media items.
Use USPS First Class Mail for items weighing under 13 ounces.
Use USPS Express Mail when requested.

eBay’s “Getting the package to the post office”

“Once you’ve printed your shipping label and prepared your package, you can contact the USPS and request that they pick up your Priority Mail or Express Mail package and any other packages for free with your regular mail service. You can also request package pick-up on demand for a fee. The USPS will also pick up First-Class Mail, Media Mail, and international mail.“

Are you a new eBay seller? eBay can help you! If you choose to take the package to the post office, just print your shipping label and package your item in advance. You can leave the package on the post office counter instead of standing in line.

Postage/Labels
Are you a new eBay seller? eBay can help you! You need to know exactly how much a package weighs so you can calculate the postage.
All you really need is a scale that can weigh accurately up to 35 pounds. Anything heavier, you can get by with your bathroom scale.
Print out postage online right from your computer. Even if you do not have a label maker, you can print the information directly onto a plain piece of paper from any printer and tape the paper to your package.
The USPS website has a free postage/label printing software called Click-N-Ship. Unfortunately, the shipping classes are limited to Express Mail, Priority Mail and International Mail. The postage amount can’t be hidden, so the buyer will see the exact amount of postage paid.
If the buyer pays using PayPal, you can use PayPal’s integrated shipping tool. When you go to print the label, the buyer’s shipping address is automatically added to the label along with the weight and insurance if applicable. This saves you the trouble of entering the information yourself. Once the label is printed, you can print a packing slip with all information. The postage amount can be hidden on the label. You can print both USPS and UPS labels using PayPal.

How I Make Money Using Craigslist.

Not quite as technical as eBay. First off, only ever deal in person in public places.
-I list items that either friends or myself would like to sell or business persons I know.
Items such as water heaters, restaurant items, doors, computer equipment, software, services, cellphones and other electronics. The possibilities are almost endless.
I just set up a time and a place at a known location. Tell a friend before I go. Then I meet the person and have always had a pleasant transaction. I even deliver for a fee. If the item requires installation I also offer this for a fee as well.
I do recommend calling and emailing multiple times to make sure details are very clear, that way time is not wasted. Most people drive long distances and don’t want to come for no reason.
Go create an account and list your item. It’s FREE and you got nothing to lose.
